How Is Diversity Portrayed In The Beauty Industry?
Diversity demands for respect and acceptance regardless of race, ethnicity, social status, gender, physical appearance/abilities, age and religious beliefs. It is an understanding of a person’s individuality and uniqueness. Diversity is being able to co-exist in a diverse society whilst embracing and recognising each other’s differences.

Living in a diverse society – we are educating each other on a daily basis. However, with the media having such a huge influence on the new generation; it’s hard to pretend that there’s isn’t a lack of diversity in the beauty industry especially in their ad campaigns.
Beauty ad campaigns aren’t making substantial effort to reflect the reality of the diverse society that we live in. Diversity isn’t being portrayed enough in the beauty industry; however, we can’t deny the fact that some beauty brands have tackled if before in their ad campaigns.
